Taoist health-preserving techniques focus on conditioning methods. They believe that the human body is a dynamic balance system. It is necessary to maintain the balance of yin and yang in the human body and adapt the human body rhythm to the natural rhythm of the sun and the moon. They emphasize “following the law of yin and yang, being in harmony with numbers, eating and drinking in moderation, living and sleeping regularly, and not overworking”.
