The health-preserving effect of Tai Chi is well known to the world. There are many Tai Chi schools in the world, and many people practice it. They want to practice and learn any school they see. In fact, it is human greed that is the culprit. Chairman Mao Zedong pointed out in his “Study of Sports” that the method of exercise is precious: “The method that leads to its effect is one. If the effect of one method is so, the effect of a hundred methods is also so. Then the other ninety-nine methods can be abandoned.” That is to say, people choose a method to persevere in exercise. If one method is effective, why should they learn so many?
The characteristics of Zhaobao Tai Chi are moderate and peaceful, light and flexible, like children playing, without intention or breath, purely natural. Chapter 10 of “Tao Te Ching”: Carrying the spirit and soul and embracing oneness, can it be separated? Concentrating on the breath and being soft, can it be like a baby? As described in the classics, the practice method and effect of Zhaobao Tai Chi are very fast in line with the Tao!
The following introduces the three stages of practicing Zhaobao Tai Chi.
The first stage: knowing is difficult, but seeking is difficult
When learning Tai Chi for the first time, the muscles and functions of the body change day by day after the age of 20, but people are unaware. From 20 to 30 years old, although the perception and coordination of the human body are very good, it is already on a downward curve. Relatively speaking, it is not easy for people between 20 and 30 years old to learn sports skills. If you look at table tennis, most of the people who have achieved success have practiced since childhood, and they can only achieve ease in the long-term operation of hand, eye, body, method and step. When adults practice, their hands and feet are not coordinated, and their ability to command the body with their minds is weakened. Tai Chi beginners in this age group will have a shorter learning period and will see results earlier, but it is not easy to stick to it, which is a pity.
Between 30 and 40 years old, there is a need for health during this period, which means that the physical fitness is declining faster. 35 for women and 40 for men is a turning point, and the physical fitness declines rapidly during this period. It will be more difficult to learn Tai Chi during this period.
After the age of 40, the health of the human body is seriously depleted, the body is not in harmony with the spirit, and there are more problems. During this period, most people suffer from seeking medical treatment but cannot get relief, and then they realize that there are many sufferings in life, but health cannot be let down!
The earlier you learn Tai Chi, the sooner you will benefit. No matter when you learn it, the difficulty of learning exists. It requires a lot of thinking and body. Therefore, the first level of knowing the difficulty is faith, perseverance, and fate!
The second stage: knowing the difficulty is easy
This stage is a stage of physical experience after learning Tai Chi for 3 to 5 years. After practicing according to the rules, you can achieve natural compliance, feel the circulation of qi, follow the upper and lower parts, and coordinate your body and mind. Only then will you know that Tai Chi is such a simple thing. This level is perseverance, persistence, and enlightenment!
The third stage: knowing is easy, seeking is difficult
When our body and mind are adjusted and very comfortable, we will naturally have a sense of belonging to the Tao. The original intention of Wudang Zhaobao Tai Chi is to let people enter the Tao through boxing, to restore the harmony and freedom of the original human beings. This level is quiet, wisdom, and Tao.
Practicing Zhaobao Tai Chi, each stage is learning and learning again, feeling and feeling again, experiencing and experiencing again, believing, holding, and realizing and returning to the Tao. This is also the original intention of Tai Chi.
