When learning Tai Chi, you should pay attention to the following seven rules:
The first rule: avoid coldness
After stopping the exercise, avoid getting cold. If you get cold suddenly after warming up, you are prone to illness. People who practice hard exercises such as Iron Sand Palm and Iron Arm Exercises should not use cold water or touch cold objects within one hour after stopping the exercise (the palms should not touch cold water, stones, iron pipes and other cold objects), otherwise they are prone to illness. Therefore, practitioners should first avoid coldness and keep warm.
The second rule: sweat retention method
After sweating during exercise, you should not wash with cold water or blow with cold wind, but should know how to keep sweat. After sweating, you should wipe the sweat with a dry towel. After sweating, you should not be greedy for coolness, suddenly jump into cold water, and blow with an electric fan. When the sweat pores are open, they are suddenly closed by cold, and the sweat turbidity and residual toxins accumulate under the skin, which will cause illness over time. After sweating, you should keep the sweat. Not only do you not take off your clothes, but you should put on clothes instead. After the sweat on your body dries up, you can wipe your body with a hot water towel. This is the sweat retention method.
After practicing Tai Chi for a few minutes, you will feel sweaty. You cannot take off your clothes and catch a cold. Wait for the sweat to dry slowly.
The third method: drinking water
After sweating, you should replenish water in time, but if you drink a lot of water immediately, it is easy to get sick. The correct method is: drink a cup of cold boiled water prepared the night before before practicing in the morning to replenish the body’s water loss overnight. Before practicing in the evening, you should also drink a cup of warm boiled water. It is not advisable to drink water immediately after sweating during each practice. It is advisable to drink half a cup to a cup of water after the sweat dries.
The fourth method: fog-removing method
You should not practice on foggy days, because fog poison and turbid air are harmful to the human body. In this kind of weather, you should know the method of fog-removing and anti-poisoning. The method is: every time it is foggy, you should drink three sips of wine, that is, three small cups of white wine, which can remove fog poison and gas poison. One cup of wine can also be effective, but three cups are better.
The fifth method: wind-proof method
After sweating during practice, you should not face the electric fan. Prevent wind like preventing arrows, and prevent wind poison from invading the body. Do not stay in the shade, and do not stand in the wind at the doorway, otherwise you may get sick. Rheumatism is mostly caused by stroke poison, so people who practice martial arts must prevent wind.
Beginners should practice Tai Chi in a place with a flat ground and a relatively quiet environment to avoid sports injuries.
The sixth method: fatigue relief method
After practicing, if the body is tired, it can be relieved by tapping the body acupoints. The first is to tap the well points on both shoulders. The right palm taps the well point on the left shoulder, and the left palm taps the well point on the right shoulder, with both hands crossed at the same time, 36 times each; the second is to chop the Zusanli point. Both palms chop the Zusanli points on both legs at the same time with the base of the palm 36 times; the third is to chop the Yongquan point on the sole of the foot. The right palm pats the left sole of the foot 36 times, and the left palm pats the right sole of the foot 36 times. After practicing the above three methods, the whole body will be relaxed, which can not only relieve fatigue, but also be healthy and long-lived.
The seventh method: Kidney protection method
Practicing martial arts is mainly to protect the kidneys, and the purpose is to prolong life. Now let’s talk about two methods of protecting the kidneys: one is the foot washing method: after practicing or before going to bed every day, wash your feet with hot water for about 10 minutes, then use the sword finger to rub the soles of the feet 36 times; use the left finger to rub the Yongquan point on the right foot, and the right hand to rub the Yongquan point on the left foot. The second is to rub the Shenshu point. This point is located in the waist eye area.
Stand facing south, with your feet shoulder-width apart, step left and right, and relax your whole body. Put the five fingers of both palms together and insert them behind the waist, with the palms facing outward and the backs of the hands facing inward. Use the protruding parts of the Hegu points of both hands to rub the Shenshu points on both sides up and down 81 times each, one up and one down counts as one time. The above 3 methods can cure kidney deficiency every day.
