Tai Chi optional combination is to select some movements with therapeutic expertise from various Tai Chi forms to form a series of combinations, with the first principle of improving the efficacy, to treat key diseases.

I. Characteristics of Tai Chi and Health

1,Functional coordination. For example, the combination of left and right wild horse split mane and single whip is to treat the coordination of body functions, focusing on the treatment of upper limb diseases.

2, Operation position coordination. That is, to combine the moves that treat the same position.

3,Purpose coordination. Combine movements with different operation positions but the same purpose, such as the movements of “below treat the upper” and “above treat the upper” can be combined.

    II. Optional combination of Tai Chi and health

    (I) Starting position

    Variations:

    1, From the starting position, pay attention to the adjustment of the mind, that is, to guide the movement with the mind.

    2, Repeat the movement of raising and pulling the two arms twice.

      (II) Closing position

      Variations:

      1,Mainly use abdominal breathing.

      2,Integrate the cross hand movement into the closing movement. After the cross hand is formed, draw a circle with both hands, squat down with the body rising, and do a movement of raising and lowering both hands (can be done 3 to 4 times).

        Note: When the hands draw a circle through this position, you must take a deep breath when you pass this position; exhale when you finish the movement.

        (III) Combination 1: Left and right wild horse mane split plus single whip

        Main treatment: hand and cardiopulmonary diseases.

        Variation: If the treatment is mainly for hand diseases, do the single whip movement first and then the left and right wild horse mane split; if the treatment is for cardiopulmonary diseases, do the left and right wild horse mane split first and then the single whip movement.

        (IV) Combination 2: Starting position plus left and right lower positions independent plus cross hands

        Main treatment: abdominal visceral organ diseases.

        Variation:

        1,For the treatment of stomach diseases, the left and right lower positions independent can be performed 2 to 3 times more, and for the treatment of liver diseases, it can be performed 5 to 7 times more.
        Exhale when the body is descending, and inhale when ascending. When the cross hand movement is performed, a short pause should be made to allow the upward qi to return to the dantian.

        2,The cross hand movement in this group of movements is larger than the cross hand movement in the closing position. The number of times should be 2 to 3 times, and the position can be approximately in the abdomen.

        3,The starting position does not need to be too high, approximately at the level of the navel, but the amplitude should be slightly larger.

          (V) Combination Three: Left and Right Lan Que Wei plus Turning and Ban Lan Chui

          Main treatment: waist diseases, and also a group of movements that have health care functions for the whole body.

          Variation: The movement of Turning and Ban Lan Chui should be explosive and large in amplitude. This movement should be repeated 2 to 3 times.

          1,When doing the left and right Lan Que Wei movements, pay attention to the balance of the whole body, and do a good job of waist rotation with the spine as the axis.

          2,In the starting position, the hands are raised at the waist level, and the opening and closing of the hands are also at the waist level, coordinated with breathing.

          3,Pushing and pulling movements should be mainly pushing.

          4,When doing the opening and closing of the hands in the closing position, the body should be slightly tilted back, and the mind should remain on the waist.

            (VI) Combination Four: Left and Right Kicking Legs plus Like Sealing and Closing

            Main treatment: lower limb diseases.

            Variations:

            1,The mind descends to the lower limbs, and the starting position descends to the position above the knee.

            2,The left and right leg kicking movements should be explosive, and the calf retraction movement should be slow. Exhale when kicking the legs and inhale when retracting the legs. Do each left and right leg kick more than once.

            3,The body’s center of gravity tilts downward and backward in the closed-like movement, and the contradiction between the release and retraction of the essence is used to complete the regulation of the blood and qi in the foot meridians.

            4,The body leans forward when the retraction movement is done.


            (VII) Combination V: Left and right cloud hands plus high kicking legs plus double peaks penetrating the ears


            Main treatment: diseases of the head and five sense organs.
            Variations:

            1,Cloud hands movement: The head and neck change with the direction of the hand movement.

            2,High kicking legs movement: The neck should also cooperate with the changes of the body.

            3,Double peaks penetrating the ears movement: The height of the hands should be higher than normal, and it should be done twice in a row, and the mind should be on the Baihui point on the top of the head.

            4,The arm position at the beginning of Tai Chi: it should be raised to the position of Baihui acupoint on the top of the head.

            5,When closing the posture, the hands are raised: they should be higher than Baihui acupoint, and the Laogong acupoint on the palm should correspond to Baihui acupoint.

              (VIII) Combination 6: Seabed needle plus left and right down postures and independent closing postures

              Main treatment: pelvic diseases.

              Variations:

              1,Seabed needle: palms facing up to guide the upward movement of vital energy.

              2,Left and right down postures independent: when one hand guides the downward movement and does the forward movement, the palm of the opposite hand should face up.

              3,Closing movement: when doing the cross hand movement, the position should be level with the pelvis, and then draw a circle upward. This movement can be done 2 to 3 times, and the center of gravity of the body should be kept below the pubic symphysis.
