Zhang Yan is the sixth generation inheritor of Zhaobao Tai Chi. He is an outstanding master who pioneered the promotion of Zhaobao Tai Chi outside the local area and visited abroad. Because of his comprehensive skills, high skills and boldness, he visited martial arts masters from all over the country to exchange boxing skills. He visited Huang Dangjia, a monk in Caozhou Temple in Shandong, who was known as the “Thousand Mile King”, and left behind his high skills. In Shandong, he used the Qianjinzhui Qigong to kill a python and eliminate harm, and was rewarded by the government. As a result, he became famous in the martial arts world. He visited the masters of Chenjiagou three times. His heroic deeds attracted the admiration of Chen Qingping, a student of Wenxiang. Because Zhaobao had a promise that “boxing should not leave the village”, Chen Qingping moved from Wang’erzhao Village to Zhaobao and studied under Zhang Yan.
