Il est un disciple de Ren Changchun. Il est originaire de Yizhuang, comt\u00e9 de Boai. Il \u00e9tait un \u00e9l\u00e8ve de Wenxiang \u00e0 la fin de la dynastie Qing. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 membre du Mus\u00e9e provincial des arts martiaux du Henan. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 juge lors de la comp\u00e9tition d&#039;arts martiaux organis\u00e9e \u00e0 Kaifeng en 1935. En 1935, il a publi\u00e9 le livre \u00ab Le Taijiquan authentique \u00bb. Ce livre a \u00e9t\u00e9 le premier ouvrage publi\u00e9 publiquement sur le Taijiquan Zhaobao.
